Community Event: Beekeeping and Honey Harvest Workshop

Charles and Karen have been beekeeping for 51 years at Lorence’s Honey Bee Haven. Join us to learn the basics of beekeeping as they guide you through the fundamentals. This session will cover essential topics such as bee biology, hive maintenance, pollination, and the crucial role of bees in the ecosystem. Participants will learn about the tools and equipment needed for beekeeping, how to set up and care for a hive, and best practices for sustainable beekeeping. The workshop will also include a Q&A session, giving attendees the opportunity to engage with experienced beekeepers and gain practical insights. Lorence’s Honey Bee Haven aims to highlight the importance of pollinators and encourage community involvement in bee conservation efforts.
